Kurt and Laurie's wedding was amazing! They knew the music and dancing would be a big part of that and you exceeded expectations (especially when it started raining and wind started blowing - and you made the move and transition to the indoor dance floor seamless). My skating party was the best birthday party since I was 8, which is when I had my last skating party. The music and company was much better this time. Everything about your djing enhanced the event--the music selection, the energy you gave when doing the hokey pokey and races, you knew your crowd and catered to our musical interests and our various ages.
You listened to all of our ideas for exactly what we wanted (even as they constantly changed) and promised to help us make them a reality. Then, when the time came, you did. There were a lot of curve balls and we made a lot of special requests, and you always made us feel like whatever we wanted was possible. We had a lot of friends and family helping out with decorations, but without someone to preserve the vision (you), no one would have known what to do. Once the wedding started, you coordinated every detail perfectly, from making sure the processional music coordinated with our entrances to whisking in chairs for us during Hava Nagila with little notice. You worked around the clock to set up, run things smoothly during the event, and then clean up afterward. There's no way we could have done it without you.
You can count on Maydnew! May brings her expertise which will guide you through decisions on what you want and need for your celebration. She has creative ideas and took what we viewed as an uninviting venue and made it magical - at the same time responsive to our needs and interests. May understood the needs of the ceremony and transporting the guests to the reception hall and quickly organized the flow of the event. She demonstrated to me everything I would want in a facilitator. In addition to her skill, she was pleasant in her demeanor. We were planning the event from out of state and it was so helpful to have May available to meet with our daughter as needed on-site. She showed flexibility, adaptability, punctuality and skill! You can plan the event of your dreams and Maydnew will make it come true!
You were extremely professional and made it an very enjoyable event for us. We especially appreciated all the time you spent checking in with us beforehand, making sure we felt good about everything. Your presence made everyone very comfortable and you helped us stay relaxed and enjoy the night even as unscheduled changes came up.
You actually surpassed our expectations... As a complete control freak ~ the fact that you made me 100% at ease the day/evening of our wedding was nothing short of a miracle.
The flow/transitions during both the wedding and the reception were seamless... We couldn't have asked for it to go any better.

Met my expectations 110%..........you guys listened to what I had to say, valued my thoughts and request, and actually played the type of music I asked for, something I have had trouble with "other" DJ's grasping.

Our guests made many requests for songs from all decades and MAYDNEW was able to provide each and every song requested. To see the enjoyment of our guests as they danced the night away was a compliment to MAYDNEW. Everyone’s energy stayed high all night, thanks to the great music.

I knew that from the start when I met with May and we were able to literally map out how the reception would look that the event would be what Ryan and I wanted it to be, not what they thought it should be like.
They were able to add doing sound for our ceremony on a fairly short notice. On the day of the wedding, I don't remember seeing them set up the system at the ceremony site (which was a different place than the reception site) or take it down and yet they were still at the reception meeting with the bridal party before we were introduced to make sure they had the correct pronunciation for them and letting everyone know what we were needing to do next.
Throughout the reception I knew May and Wendy were aware of where Ryan and I were and that they were paying attention to not only the music but all the details of the day. They even got my dad champagne so he could make his toast!
I know MAYDNEW was a significant part of what made our reception such a memorable day for our guest, people are still talking about how much fun they had!
